Apples Next iPhone Has iOS 5 and Dual Core Chip

The iPhone brand is something that does not need any introduction given the huge popularity that it has built up over the years, but the recent challengers including the Samsung Galaxy S have been able to overtake the iPhone in terms of popularity. Apple needed something to keep up with the incredible expectations that people have for the iPhone brand. Even though the iPhone 4 was not enough to meet these standards a while ago, it certainly isn’t capable of doing the same now. It calls for a new phone in the form of the iPhone 5, which is certainly going to live up to that expectations of the iPhone brand.

It is expected to be the first phone in the iPhone series to increase the screen size. Featuring the edge to edge display technology, the iPhone 5 is expected to increase the screen size from 3.5 inches to around 4 inches, although it has not been confirmed by Apple yet. In fact, many predicted that this phone will actually be a very different phone compared to the iPhone 4, but latest rumours suggests otherwise. Now, it is being predicted that the iPhone 5 will be featuring changes only in the processor department of the phone and will not be changing much. The department of processors will be taken care of by the 1 GHz dual core unit that is exactly similar to the one found on the newly launched iPad.

This A5 processor is expected to change the operations of the phone significantly, with it being able to provide enough power to run a number of applications in the background. The processor is going to be assisted by the presence of 1 GB of RAM, which is absolutely essential for a phone of this class. Despite the processor not expected to match the ratings offered by the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S II, the iPhone 5 is expected to be much faster partly due to the stable Apple iOS. The camera in the iPhone 5 was expected to be an eight megapixel unit, but it could well feature the same five megapixel unit currently being employed. Sources say that the eight megapixel camera will be used in the iPhone that is going to be launched as a competitor to the Windows phones.

The iPhone 5 is also the first iPhone to come with the NFC support. This new feature has been incorporated by almost every single high-end manufacturer in their high-end phones. It will allow the phone to be used as a credit card, which will almost bring the existence of credit cards to a standstill. The Facetime application is also expected to undergo changes in the new phone, it support given to the 3G network as well. The iPhone 5 will be providing the ability to record full HD 1080 p videos using the same five megapixel camera, which now currently offers only the 720 p video recording mode. The iPhone 5 is expected to be launched later this year.
